Patent Hook-on.

This handy device, which is a substitute for pole-straps, is the invention of Mr. B. Ransom, of Mt. Nicholas, Tasmania. It fastens on to the hames on their lower side, and can remain a fixture. The collar passing over the transverse bar of the pole is also a fixture, so that

all that Is necessary for yoking is to place the hook (B) through the eye bolt (C).
