UNFORTUNATE FIRE

Mr Jas. McLeod, of ParVhurst, had the misfortune to have his barn and stable burnt to the ground last night. All the contents of the buildings were destroyed. The barn contained over £200 worth of oaten sheaves, chaffcutter, engine, vacuum pump, two separators, and the whole of a Lawrence Kennedy milking plant. Mr Kennedy, who was cutting chaff for Mr McLeod, also lost his chaffcutter, the value cf which was £200.

Mr McLeod estimates his loss at alout £700 over and above the insurance. He had an insurance of £240 on oa'.en xsheaves and meadow hay, but the insurance expired on the 6th of this month.
