NEW PROCESS TO REPRODUCE

SCENES MANY MILES AWAY

By a process of photo-telegraphy,' Professor C. Francis .Jenkins declares that he can reproduce scenes enacted in one city upon screens in the picture theatres of other cities through telegraphic connection. The camera he uses is connected by wire with a large copper plate which is chemically treated, and joined to a very high-power battery or dynamo. The image is received on speciallyprepared glass, and transferred throogh the back of the copperplate, this being in contact and perfect synchronism with the receivingmachine. Whether the distance is one, ten, or a thousand miles, the scene, says the professor, is reproduced on tlvis plate and transferred to the glass connected with the battery and baths for developing and projecting on the screen at the receiving station. Sir Hubert yon Herkomer possesses at Lululaund, Bushey, a com-pletely-equipped plant for pictureplay production on these welcome lines.
