WIDE WORLD PICTURES
THERE was a crowded house at the Star Theatre last evening, when the management gave a benefit entertainment on, behalf of the Football Union. Included in the attractive change of programme was a dramatic picture entitled "The Rival Adventurers." The supporting films included pictures of grave, humorour and topical subjects. A complete change of programme wil be given on Saturday evening. Special Notice The management of the Wide World Pictures are indeed living up to their reputation of screening the finest pictures that it is possible to procure, as, notwithstanding ,he gre t expense, they have a great tre-it in store for their patrons in the shape of that valuable film of historical record, "With Scott to the Pole," which is the only genu'ne and authentic record of the well-known, re? gretted explorer, late Captain Scott, R.N., and his noble comrades, who gave up their lives amid the frozen wr.stes of the Antarctic, in the search for scientific knowledge, who wrote their names on the scroll of fame, and enrolled themselves in the.foremost ranks of British heroes.
