Three more expected next week. Capt. Pearce, tor many years connected with the Kaipara Steamship Co., is at present on a visit to Helensville. Capt. Pearce now resides in Sydney. The Rev. F.. W. Young, Vicar of Holy Trinity, Devonport, will conduct services at St. Matthew's Church, Helensville, on Sunday, the 21st inst. Mr Anson, of Auckland, has bought Mr A. Bradley's farm on the Parkhurst Road. Mr Anson is now living on the property. Mr D. Rennie, of the Parkhurst Road, has recently purchased Mr A. Bradly's property at Te Pua. It is Mr Rennie's intention to build on this land forthwith. The Medical Inspector-General of the New Zealand forces, accompanied by a Staff Sergt.-Major, passed through Helensville on the 16th inst., en route to Auckland. Mr Jno. Mclntyre, who was thrown from his horse last week, is now convalescent. Mr Mclntyre was considerably shaken and cut about the hands and head. Lady Anna Chandos-Pole, who died lately, left a bequeath of £30,000 to Dr McDonald for his tenderness and devotion as her medical adviser. The Sports Committee intend holding a dance on Friday, June 26. This dance will be in aid ot the funds, so it is to be hoped that all sports will turn up and bring their best girls. Mr C. Newman, one of Helensville's oldest settlers, has just soldouftoMr McGarvie, of Te Pua. Mr Newman intends selling all his furniture and ffects, on Thursday, July 2nd.
