S.s Bell-Bird took up 200 sheep on the 7th inst to Tangiteroria for Dr Pox, who has a largo farm in that district.
Dr. Beotty, Medical Superintendent of the Auckland Mental. Hospital, has lately acquired a large run on the opposite side of the river from Dr Fox's property.
The scow Reliance has on board 12 tons of underground cable for the new Post Office at Dargaville, which is nearing completion.
We understand the new Post Office is going to be roofed with tiles from Marseilles. It is proposed to put underground telegraph wiree.
Mr Mandich, storekeeper, of Dargaville, is erecting a two-storied building for a general store. This building will be completed in a couple of weeks.
The Dargavillo Town Wharf has been extfnded another 120 feet, and wijl be out of the contractor's hands in another fortnight's time.
On Satuiday, 6th icst, Mr Colemore Willian.s held a sale of the Houhori Estate, and sections to the 'value of £20,000 were dif-posed of.
