On changing round, and the breeze at their back, Suburbs had the best of things for a while. Headed by Fulton and Pirott, Waimauku forwards took the ball past half-way. For off-side play Waimauku was here given a free, and Fletcher found the line. At the line out the ball was not thrown in straight, a scrum resulting. Williams (Waimauku) was here caught off-side, and Suburbs was given a free. This sent the ball well down to Waimauku's , territory, but Weighman sent it back again, and the forwards, keeping at it kept near Suburb's 25, till Hart saved and following up his kick caught the full-back before he had got rid of the ball. After some scrummage, L. Taylor marked and saved as the whistle sounded half-time. Waimauku had the best of things from th; s on. A nice passing rush, in which Fletcher, Taylor and Tui. took part, carried the ball well into Suburb's 25. Shortly after Foster, for Waimauku, marked, and Fletcher was successful with a shot at goal.
