KAUKAPAKAPA NEWS

The annual meeting of the the headquarters section of the Kaipara Rifle Club was held in the Kaukapakapa Library on June 8. There was a good attendance of members and considerable enthusiasm shown. The balance sheet disclosed a healthy financial state, and it was decided to purchase more rifles to supply new members. Mr Coates, M.P.. was appointed patron, and Mr F. Dye vice-patron. The Club decided, in view of the good work done by them, to reappoint last year's officers and oommittee The President and Vice-President having donated trophies, it was decided to shoot for these on June 13. The Club donated a medal to the member making the best, average score for the season. The present roll of the Club is 22, and every member is a "recruiting sergeant," so this number will be soon augmented. The next quarterly meeting was fixed for September 3.
