A collier engaged by the Glyncorrwg Colliery Company was charged at Aberavon with smoking in the mine. Defendant was caught smoking in a most dangerous part of the mine, where only safety-lamps were used. Defendant said he did not know it was a dangerous place where he was smoking. He did not see any gas.
