THE KAIPARA AND WAITEMATA ECHO With which is incorporated "The Kaipara Advertiser & Waitemata Chronicle." Helensville, Friday, June 5, 1914. THE FRANCHISE
THERE have been many changes in this, the Kaipara Electoral District, since last election, therefore it behoves those who have newly settled down amongst us, others who have come of age, and those who failed to record their vote three years ago, to make a move in the matter of obtaining their right by enrolling at once. A word of warning is, however, given to persons who are called upon to attest the signature of an elector on an enrolment claim. It is pointed out that before a witness should sign the form he should either actually see the signature made or obtain a verbal declaration to that offect. It sometimes happens that a person might produce the claims of several members nf a family for an elector to witness. Iu that case the witness could not comply with the regulations although the person might claim the genuineness of the signatures. Forms may be obtained at all post offices and from the Registrar of Electors, Dargavillle.
