MR J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports ; — Poultry this week was in heavy supply to a steady market. Prices were about the same as last quotation. Fruit showed no change. Pumpkins and citreiis are in very heavy supply and low prices are ruling. Citren and pie melons are a drag on the market. Pigs show no change in prices. We quote : Poultry: Hens, good, 1/9 to 2/3 ; ordinary, 1/6 to 1/8; ducks, 1/1 to 2/8; geese, 3/6; roosters prime 3/6 to 4/7, good 3/ to 3/4, ordinary 2/6 to 3/9; cockrells, 1/ to 1/9 ; turkey gobblers 8/ to 11/6. hens 4/ to 5/6. Pigs, 4/ t.Q ft/3, Farm Produce : Potatoes, good £4 to £4 15/, others £3 10'/ to £3 15/; poO r £2 15/; pumpkins, £3 to £3 10/; pie and citren melons, £2 to £2 5/; sweedes, £1 1.5/ to £2 10/; onions, 6/ to 7/9*, picklers, 7/6 to 9/; cabbages, 2/ to 2/9 per sack. Dairy Produce: Butter, 9d to 10d; eggs, fresh Is 9d, pickled Is to Is lid • cheese, 6d to 7^d; hams, lid; sides' 9d to 9'/id.
