The Treasurer of the Waitemata County reports to his Council as follows : During the past month the sum of i*£766 6s 5d has been collected and banked baqked for rates, made up as follows:— £ s. d. General rates 511 6 7 Hospital rates - 87 10 8 Loan interest rate §8. 3 2 10 per cent penalties 69 6. q Total 766 a I Two hundred and thirty-one ratepayers paid up, but it has been like drawing teeth to get them to pay up.
