ALL SAME AS TE MAORI.
Hon. Timi Carroll told the " Queen of the Carnival " and her large audience at Wanganui, the other day—The British race descended from the Celts, who in a distant age, came from the A.yrian stock. This stock at one tinie divided. One lot went west, colonised ' Spain, and settled in France. Some went to Ireland and Scotland, and were the ancestors of the British race. Another! biuun-.h migrated to Polynesia, where the climatic conditions and other influences plavecl their part in making the difference between the two peoples. Sir .lames hold that the Britishers and the Maori came fro 111 old Tndo-Euvopean stock, and after centuries of separation the two. parties had met again an 1 live] in unity in the sland of the Pacifc, where a new nationality was now growing. Happy Jimmie, but we are not going to swallow the idea that the pakeha might have been-a Maori or vice versa. Where are the Lost Tribes of Israel ?
