At Westfield Yards on Wednesday, fat cattle were yarded in larger numbers than usual, and sold a shade lower than last week's rates. Best oxen selling to 29s Gd per 100, others 25s to 28s ; cows and heifers, 21s to 26s per 100 lb. Steers sold at from £7 12s 6d to £12 12s 6d ; cows and heifers, £4 15s to £8 12s 6d. Veal calves came forward in short supply at prices advancing on last week's rates. Heavy-weight, L 4 13s to L 5 5s ; mediumweight, £3 Is to £4 10s ; lighter weights, £2 to £2 18s ; smaller, £1 to £1 18s ; fresh dropped, 5s to 19s. Sheep came forward in extra large numbers, and declined in price on last week's quotations, more especially for ewes. Best wethers sold at from £1 Is to £1 3s 9d, others 18s 3d to £1 0s 9d ; ewes, best, 15s 6d to 18s 9d, others 13s 6d. Lambs were yarded in average numbers ; first quality sold at from 13s 6d to 16s 3d, small 10s 6d to 13s 3d. Pigs :An average yarding, and again sold well. Baconers, £2 12s 6d to L33s ; large porkers, £2 Is to £2 10s ; porkers, 30s to 39s slips, 20s to 25s '■> weaners, 10s to 15s.
