The Southland News . says : " What must surely be a record in show entries received from one home was made the other morning, when the secretary of the Mataura Horticultural and Industrial Exhibit Society's show received 71 entries from a Mataura resident. These ranged from paintings, handiwork, and other art exhibits, to flowers of every description and products of the kitchen garden. The younger children, too, have their exhibits of fancywork and woodwork models,"
