There is a large quantity of the birds in poor condition, also on .the moult coming in. This class of bird are not in good demand. A very noticeable thing about the poultry trade this year is the ■ vast quantity of cockerels that- are coming in, Wo doubt the high cost of ' grain is causing Farmers to sell. Fruit ] this week was in better demand and 1 prices were much better than have been ' ruling for some time. Dessert pears are ] firmer.
