I All know that in the past the game has been doled out as a favouritism to the large and wealthy clubs, and it is high time there was an alteration. Next session of Parliament a Bill will be brought forward providing for a larger number of totalisator permits for country clubs. The Kacing Conference will duly consider the list of Clubs now registered, and also tho suggestions of Stippndiary Stewards relative to needed improvements at country courses. The clubs ignoring tho suggestions, and which ai& drifting along in the back blocks style, may at any time find their permits withdrawn because there is already talk of another Commission being set up to visit the numerous race-courses with a view to deciding on a more satisfactory basis than exisits.
Helensivlie wants to put a spoke in here, but cmnot have any shadow of success unless our "sports" create some sore of locus standl'by reorganising its racing club, and at one '.
