Musical Society.

The annual general meeting of the Helensville Musical Society was held Tuesday night in Miss Rinirners' Rooms, when there was an attendance of 23 members. The Secreiary (Mr Stringer) presented the balance sheet which showed a credit balance of Ll6 0s 7d. The following Officers were elected for the ensuing Year-viz: —President, Mr J. A.-x Wilson; Vice-Presidents, Messrs A. J. Hill; J. H, Harvey and Dr Meinhold; Id on. Secretary and Treasure!*, Mr J. Carter; Hon. Pianist, Miss M. Eitnmei; Hon. Conductor, Mr J. Carter; Hon. Librarian, MisvH. Ganley. Committee, Mcsdnines J. F> Lambert Jr. and C Sandiu, Misses M. -Riin'i'er. and I. Sinicoek, and Mr H. W. Stringer, On tiie proposal of Mr Carter, seconded by Mr 0. White, it was decided to open an account with the Post Office Savings Bank, Messrs Stringer and Screaton being appointed Trustees.
