Poultry, as generally this time of the year, were sent forward in heavy supply and prices suffered. Fruit, Peaches and Plums rulpd low. Bntter and Eggs are in stronger demand, Wo quote : —Poultry (3500 penned) Hens, prime, ts 9d to 2s 4d ; good Is 7d to Is 9d. Ducks, young, 2s. to 3s ; old, Is 8d to 2s. Greese (60) penned 4s to 6s. Turkeys (140 sold), Gobblers 10s to lfis ; Hens, 5s to 63 9d. Pigs 19s to LI 4s. Fruit, Peaches 2s to 4s 3d. Plums 2s to 3s 9d. Lemons, prime, 10s to 18s 6d ; good, 9s to 8s 6d. Apples 13s to 18s.
