Town Band.

The Town Band made their public debut at the Domain on •Sunday afternoon under rather unsettled weather conditions. There was a good crowd present, .• however, and keen appreciation was shown of the programme rendered. The manner in which some of the items were given showed that the members had devoted every attention to their musical-studies since the Band was reorganised. The music proved very enjoyable and a collection taken up added 32s to the Band funds. The following programme was rendered -.—Will ye no come back again (Linter), / Glorious Apollo (Webbe), May /^Breezes (Wright), Melbourne (D. *tf^Barrett-Pogson), Forget-me-Not <Round), Does your heart beat true (Linter), Rays of Sunshine (Round), Dandy Coon (Wright), Jolly Good Fellows (Linter], God Save The King.

At last meeting of the local Masonic Lodge Bro. A. M. Hammond was the recipient of a handsome afternoon tea service from the members, in appreciation of the manner in which he has carried out the Secretarial duties for various special functions, the last one being the banquet in connection with the recent Installation Ceremony. The W.M., Bro S. W. Sim, made the presentation, and highly eulogised Bro. Hammond's services in his secretarial capacity. Bro. Hammond, who expressed surprise at being thus honored, returned thanks in appropriate terms. y
