Dairy Cow Competition.

Following is the result of the Dairy Cow Competition held in connection with the forthcoming Helensville A. ' and P. Association's Annual Show, ' which took place last Friday: — The winning cow was Mr R. Farrell's Miss Massey, with Mr N. W. Rimmer's Violet a close second. Third place was secured by Mr Syer's Dot with a creditable record, and fourth place went to Mr N. W. Rimmer's Rose. -The next five on the list each gave alb and upwards of butterfat, and a few others were not much behind. McAdam's Emerald 26. 3.0 .78 The stewards for the above Competition were Messrs J. Archibald, W. Harris, R Mackie, J.. C. Rimmer and W. L. Moyle ; and the testing was done by Mr A. J. Garry, manager of ' the Kaipara Dairy Factory. Last year the winner was Mr R. Hoe's entry with 28lbs of milk and a 4.4 test, 1.231bs of butterfat. The prizes for the above are first l £2 2s (given by Kaipara Dairy Co), > second of £l Is and third 10s. The winner also registers the first claim on > the Tyld en-Spiers Challenge cup, s which has to be won twice before > becoming the property of any ex--1 hibitor.
