Sabbath Reform.

TO THE EDITOR,

Sir, —If Mr Johnson misconstrues scripture, as he has done my letter, no wonder he is at sea concerning the seventh day. I did not say " IT WAS " the Christian Sabbath, nor did I say '' John called the Ist day of the week the Lord's day." I think it just as serious to add to another letter, as to add to the Scripture. Mr Johnson thinks I have misjudged him. I would like to ask him in which way ? He said in his letter of the 14-7-13 " Greab numbers will continue keeping the false Sunday-Sabbath and so perish."

Personally J not only think his letter harsh, but full of presumption : condeming all who don't see eye to eye with him, to perish.

John 13-16 tells us " God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life. Mr Johnson says he is commanded to " Cry aloud, spare not, lift up the Voice like a trumpet." Writing through the columns of a secular paper is not consistent with that command ; but its Mr Johnson's method of construing Scripture, I am, etc, R. GORDON-KIRGAN.
