Prospects For Butter.

Referring to the prospects for butter at the annual meeting of shareholders of the Ballance Dairy Company last week, Mr A. McFarlane, chairman of directors, said he thought they could look forward to the coming season with confidence' as the markets were increasing in number every year. .Whilst that of Canada would certainly show an increase on last year, there were also very good hopes that the ' restrictive tariff in the United States would be removed, which would mean a big outlet for dairy produce in that country, which had a big industrial population.
