The story discloses how Helen Durand is betrothed to Albeit Dubailey. She is one day rescued from an accident by Kibos, a young motorist, wlio gets injured and )S takoa home by Helen, TVho takes caie of him. Bibos has entered for a groat motor race, and is telling Helen all about it, when Albert appea:s, and takes the other for a rival, and determines on revenge Late that night he euters the motor shed and tampers with Eihos1 steering wheel. The day of the race comes, and after going a short distance, Eibos' motor turns and crashes into a steep bonk, and he is taken by tho ambulance con> VGyance to the tent, Albert follows with a guilty ]aols, q,nd at this moment is confronted by the atnbulauce man ■vvith the broken steering whepl. He pleads i'ov the forgiveness of Eibop, who can afhrd to give it, for lie has won Helen's lnve though not the race.
