The usual monthly meeting of the Port Albert Fruitgrowers Association at the usual meeting place, on Tuesday, July 15th. There was a very good attendance of members. All quotations received have advanced considerably upon these of last year, It was decided to ascertain if a supply ot made-up cases could be got from one of the Auckland mills. The demand for white pine on the Wairoa for oversea markets makes it impossible to procure box-timber thore at anything like a reasonable rate. The question of the rjropo3ed removal of the Frimley Caun6ry Go to Auckland was discussed, several members expressing their views thereon, but no action was taken by the Association. Snow Committee. The Animal meeting of the Port Albert Show committee was lield at Miss Becrbft's residence on Friday, July 18th, The attendance was fair.
