School Committee.

The monthly meeting of the School Committee was attend&d by Messrs A. Becroft (Chairman), W. Bradly, Eames, Hammond, Smith and J. H. Constable, A letter irom the Education Board stated that the Committee's reauest for the enlarging of the school had been referred to the Board's Inspector for a report. The Chairman reported that the new playground had been cleared and ploughed and all the preliminary work done in readiness for grassing. After discussion it was decided to ask the Board to contribute towards the cost of this work as the expense of levelling the ground was a big item for the Committee. Sonie small accounts were passed for payment and the usual routine business was transacted, Mr Eames was appointed visiting member for the ensuing mouth.
