Shooting.
The weather kept a number of boys away from shooting practice on Saturday, but those who did turn up made up in the quality of their shooting what they lacked in numbers. The palm was fairly taken by E. Eames, who cuuld hardly go wrong. This is the second '* possible " he has made this year. Some of the boys remained long enough to fire on all three targets, the Departmental, Hazard, and Disappearing (snapshooting) target. Helensville vTe Pua, will be fired next Satnrday morning, on all three targets if time allows. Following are the teams :— Helensville—J. Masters E Eames, W. Megson, Y. White, H. Bates, A. Bishop, T. Goldanl. Te Pua—O. Bradly, L. Moyle, W. Brad it. F. Ferrall, D. McCarthy, R Ale Naughton, W. Albert. The Helensville team will he short of L. Scott, who will bo ilucli missed. COMPETITION. Arrangements are well forward for a renewal of the School competitions which pioved such a success last vem\ Mr N. T Lanibourne, who is inspecting the schools in tins district this year, is to act as judge, and it is hoped that as much support as was accorded last year will be given again this year.
