Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons I'eport:— A.t our weekly Wostlield fat stockmarket on Wednesday, May 7, we yarded fat cattle to tbo number of ■i' 34 head, the major portion being heavy prime bullocks. There was an improved demand, and values advance ed from 10s to Ids. Choice ox sold to Ll 10s, prime LI 7s to Ll Ss fid ; cows and heifers, Ll toLl ;3s. !\ line of 76 bullocks averaged Ll2 7s 3d, and another draft of 53 averaged LlO 19s. Steers ranged in price from I-7 10s to Ll-1 2s (id ; cows and heifers, L4to L 9 los. Calves camo forward in less than average numbers, and choice suckers wore better tvorth. Heavy suckers, L 2 10s to L 3 10s, mediuir Ll 15s to L 2 9s, light Ll 5s to Ll 13s ; small and fresh dropped 13s to Ll Is. Tho faheep pens were well filled witii a nice class of mutton. Competition was m<are keen and values firmer. Extra heavy prime wethers, Ll 4s to Ll (is ;.heavy prime, Ll 0s (id to Ll 3s 6d • intdiu-n to heavy, 17s ed to 19s 6d ; unfinished, )3s to lGs 6.1 ; best weighty ewes. 18s 6d to Ll On 3d. good 15s 6d to 18s, others 7s to 1 os"( 1912 sold).
