Helensville A and P. Association.
A specia] meeting of the committee of the above was held on Saturday evening, Mr O. H, Spinley (President) in the chair. Also present were Messrs li. Nicholls, Jas. McLeod, J. Reynard, L. McLeod W. L. Moyle, Jas Archibald, Jaa Newman, W. Ellett, Jas Hand. A, Beeroft. and the Secretary, J. (J. Rimnier, Ground Improvements. The special business was the question of iinproveu,ents to the Show grounds. Tbe matter of the evection of a hall rm the grounds was under review, and Messrs A, Becroft and Jas McLeod were appointed to inspect the Ahuroa saw mill buildings (Northern Wairoa). On the motion of Mr Jas McLeod, seconded by the Chairman, it was resolved. " That it bo a recommendation to the general meeting of the Association to sell that portion of lund from the Farmers' Union Co's saleyardß to the swing brides. A deputation from Kaipara Rugby Union asked that the Association take in hand the draining of that portion of the grounds where football is played, and promised suppovttotha extent of nparly £10,—It w*.s decided to accept the offer and procoed with the work, and thank the Rugby Union for its assistance.—Messrs Jas Me Leod. A. J. Bradly, J. A. Wilson, and W. Harrop were appointed a Ground Committee to lay out the drams and get the work done. General. The Auckland A and P. Association advised that it had been decided to j hold a Dominion Show, Dec 10th to 1 3th, to meet the wishes of enquirers from all parts of the Dominion, and asked the Society to notify members and enthusiasts. A meeting of tho Executive was held aftorwards when various routine n.alters were under review.
