Waitemata Show.
The above show held Friday and Saturday of last week was a success* ful function. Cattle exhibits although few in number were of a high quality, as was a]so the case in the bird section. Horses were exhibited in large numbers, ani competition was keen ; tho ring evpnts were especially interesting.
Following ai-h the awards won by local horses and riders :—Best gent, rider over hurdles : T. Callagher 2, J. Marshall 3 ; best mannered horse : J. Reynard's Federal 1, John Hand's Dinkum 3 ; gent'b hack :_J. Reynard's Federal 3, John [land's Dinkum h.ea ; wire jump ■ J. tßeynavd's Federal 2, John Hand'e, Sweetheart 3 ; Lady's hack: : J. _ Reynard's Federal 3, John Hand's Dinkum h.c. ; lady ridor over hurdles : Miss N.
