SCHOOL PICNICS

Last Wednesday the annual school picnic in connection with the Paikhurst school was held m Mr Sheffield's paddock, when there was a good gathering of old an I young, and an enjoyable time was spent. During the afternoon prizes were presented to the winners in each standard. The Te Pua School held their picnic in Mr W> Rimmer's paddock on Thursday afternoon, and on the same day the Helensville school had their outing in Mr Wharton's paddock. Both functions were marred by a heavy shower of rain during the afternoon.
