(Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the Maori Villiage Council of Karakanui, Pahi, was held onbatuiday, December 7. The following membors were present: Messrs Paraone Meinate (chairman), para, para, P, Heraana, Heta W. Hemana hemana T• Hemana, Eemana Manu^ kau. The dog collector was absent but sent in a report stating that son™ 20 or 30 collars had bqensold The Chairman asked that all accounts - be brought forward at the next meet ing. They are looking ahead to further improving their.little farms, * Tne natives were pleased to see the surveyors cutting up the Komiti and Hukatore Block as for some time past this block has caused trouble amongst the natives; one claiming timber and paddocks worked by another, and always being at the land Court.
