NELSON, Auctioneea [Extract from New Zealand Gazette, 10th October, 1912.] WARRANT VESTING CONTEOI OF THE HKLENSVILLI SWING BEIDGE IN THE WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL, AND APPORTIONING TKE COST OF MAINTENANCE 01 THE SAME. ISLINGTON, Governor. WHEREAS by section one hundred and twenty of the Publk Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), it is, inter aliaj enacted tha f. the Governor may, by Warrant under his hand publicly noti. fied and gazetted, direct that any bridge already consiructed, or which may hereafter be constructed, over oi across any river or arm of the sea respectively shall, from and after a datf to be fixed in such Warrant, be undei the exclusive care, control, and management of such local authority as shall be mentioned in that behalf in such warruut; and may by such War. rant to aforesaid fix or determine whether all or airy, and if so what, part of the cost, whether therotefore incurred or thereafter to be incurred, of maintaining, repairing, improving, or reconstructing any such bridge is to be provided and paid by the local authority ot authorities ; and may by such Warrant as aforesaid direct how, when, and to whom any such payment is to be made : And whereas it is expedient that provision should be made under the horeinbeforeMn-part-recited Act foi purposes heieinafter mentioned1: Now, therefore, I, John Poyndei Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise oi the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority' m anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby direct that the bridge described in the Schedule hereto, arid known as the Helensville Swing Bridge (hereinafter called " the said bridge "), shall, from and after the date of this Warrant, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Waitemata County Council. And, in farther pursuance and exercise of the powers aforesaid, I do heieby fix and determine that the cost of maintaining, repairing, or improving the said bridge is to be provided and paid by the local authorities hereinafter mentioned in the following proportions— viz., the Wiitemata County Council to pay half of such cost, and the Helensville Town Board to pay half oi such cost respectively. And I also hereby direct that the contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Helensville Town Board towards the cost of mains taining, ropairing, or improving the said bridge shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion horeinbeforo prescribed, out of the funds of the said Bard within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Waitemata County Council, and such payments shall be made fruin time to dine to the Clerk of the AVaiteniata County Council for and on bohalf of the Helensvillo Town Board. SCHEDULE. That bridge over the Kaipara River, on Parkhurst Eoad, situated on the boundary between the Waitemata County and the Helensville Town District, and known as tho Helensville Fwhig Bridge ;as tho site of tho said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32481, deposited in tho oiiice of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon shown by a red cross.
