Alfred Buckland & Sons-, Sales. « Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons, report:— At our weekly Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday, November 27, our entry of beef totalled 345 head. Thexe was a falling off in the de« mand, and prices receded from 10s to 15s per head. Choice ex sold to Ll 7s, prime Ll 4s to LI 6s, cows and heifers 19s to Ll ss, steers L 7 15s to' Ll3 2s, cows and heifers, L 4 10s to L 9 2s 6d. There was an increa&e supply of fat and young calves, which sold readily, but values wore a shade easier. Big suckers brought L 2 5s to L 2 18s, medium suckers Ll 12s to L 2 3s, small and fresh dropped 3s to 17s (141 sold). No runners were offered. There was a full yarding of mutton, tho quality of which was good. Com^ petition was brisk, and values were slightly firmer. Extra heavy prime wethers made Ll Is 6d to Ll 3a 3d (three pens ot show wethers from Mr W. Ghitty of Hamilton, and Mr H. Millington, of Wangaroi, realised Ll ss), medium to heavy 18s to Ll os, light and unfinished 14s 6d to 17s 6d, extra heavy prime ewes 18s 5d to Ll 0s Gd, good 15s Gd to 17s 6d, ethers ?Is to 13s, weedy 7a to 9a Gd. A shoitage in the pig market accounted for a slight improvement in prices. Choppers made to L 3 10s, light baconers L 2 5s to L 2 15s, large porkers Ll 16s to L 2 3s, lighter Ll 6s to Ll 13b, slips 18s to Ll 3s, weaners 15& to 18s 6d (61 sold). THE N.Z. Heavy vealers, L 3 18s to Ll 10s ; medium-weight, L 2 10s to L3ss : others, Ll 10s to L 2 ; smaller sorts, 12s to 2os ; fieshdropped, 3s to 6s. Sheep pens were well filled, and prices advanced in price from is to 2s per head. Best shorn wethers, 20s to 21s 9d ; others 17s 6d to 19a 6d ; unfinished wethers, 13s Gd to 16s bd ; shorn ewes, best quality, 17s 6d to 19s Gd ; unfinished wethers, 13s 6d to 16s : ini'eriorly fatted, 11s to 12a 9d ; hoggeta, in wool, 20s to Ll 3s gd ; others, 13s 6d to 17s. Lambs were yarded in full numbers, j and cola at late rates. Best quality, 14s to 16s ; others, Ss 9d to 12s 9d, Pigs came forward in less numbers than usual, and sold at lowev rates, the quotations being the same as last. week. Th(!
