Messis Alfred Buckland and Sons, report:— At our weekly Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday, November 6, oar entry of beef comprised 309 head. The demand tvas irregular, and prices likewise, and generally there was a further drop of 10s a head. Choice ox ' sold to Ll 9s ; prime, Ll os to Ll 75.; cows and heifers, 19s to Ll 55." Steers ranged in price from L 8 to Ll3 5s Gd ; cows and heifers. L 4 10s to L 9 15s. A full supply of fat and young calves sold at late rates. Heavy suckers, L 3 5s to L 4 ; choice medium suckers, Ll 15s to L 2 15 ; light Ll 2s to Ll 13s ; small fresh, dripped, 7s to 16s ; weedy, 3s to 6s (108 sold). The sheep pens were fairly well filled with a nice class of mutton. In a few instances values were slightly firmer, btit on the whole there was very littlo alteration from last report. Heavy shorn wethers, 19s to Ll Is ; woolly, Ll 3s 6d to Ll 5s ; light to medium shorn, 15s 6d to 18s 9d ; woolly, 19s 6dto Ll 2s 6d ; best woolly ewes, Ll Is to Ll 3s 6d ; shorn, to 17s 9d ; others, 14 s to 16s 6d ; woolly 16s to Ll (I, 357 sold). , Lambs were again yarded in large numbers, and values were a trifle firmer. Best heavy, 16s to 18s 3d ; good 13s to 15s 6d ; smaller, ils to • 12s 6d j small,-8s to 10s 9d (519 sold). More than an average entry of pigs came forward, and with the exception of well-bred weaners and light choice porkers there was a further decline in prices, Choppers. L 3 15s to Li Jos ; heavy bacouers, L 3 to L 3 lOs ; lighter ; L 2 12s to L 2 18s ; large porkers, L 2 5s to L 2 10s ; smaller Ll 1-is to L23s ; slips, tj L) 8s ; Aveaners, 13s to Li 5s ; suckers, 11s to 17s (17-1 sold).
