The demand was less keen han the last few markets, and, gensrally, values declined about 10s head, choice ox sold to LI lls, prime LI 7 s ;o Ll 9s ; cows and heifers, Ll Is to Ll 6s ; steers ranged in price from L 8 10s to Lls 17s 6d; cows and aeifers, L 4 10» to L 9 10s. Fat and young calves came forward in full numbers and sold readily, prices being slightly firmer. Kunners, L 4 to L 5 15s; heavy suckers, £3 to £3 18s ; choice medium suckers Ll 18s bo L 2 15s, light Ll 3s to Ll 15s, small and fresh-dropped 4s to 18s (95 sold). The sheep pens were moderately filled, There was an improved demand and values were firmer. Prime heavy wethers Ll 4s to Ll 6s, no extra heavy penned, shorn 18s to Ll, medium to heavy, woolly, Ll to Ll 3s 6d; best heavy ewes Ll Is to Ll 3s 6d, good 169 to Ll, others 12s 6d to 15s 6d (1425 sold). Spring lambs, of which there were 289, sold freely. Best heavy, Ll to Ll 2s 9d, good 15s to 19s 6d, smaller 12s to 14s 6d, weedy 9s6dtolls6d.
