Helensviilp fell away at the .start, but recovered a little towards the end, White, Bradly, and Anderson being the last thrco to shoot. It was evident however that the issue really lay between the visiting tiaras, and the result was in doubt right up to the last three shots, when Sergt J. Sheppard, with scores of 2, 5, and 4, broke away from Bugler I). Stewart, who scored 0, 2, and 3 ; the match then falling to Point Chevalier. Refreshments were scored in the sheltershed, and the boys then dispersed. most of them visiting the Hot Springs. A return match will b& iired, if possible, at Point Chevalier on Saturday, November 16th ; and we hope to entertain tho Ellerslie boys up here on the 30th of the same month. Wo must try then to reverse the scores.
