There was a steady demand throughout, Choice and prime ox sold at about last week's rates. Plain cattle were easier by 10s to 16s per head. Choice heavy suckers L 3 to L 3 15s, medium suckers Ll 13s to L 2 10s, light 18s to Ll 7s, freshdropped 3s to 15s (89 sold). There was a fair yarding of fat sheep. Real prime mutton was scanty, and in consequence prices firmed to the extent of Is 6d to 2s per head. Prime heavy wethers, Ll 4s 6d to Ll 7s 9d (no extra heavy penned), medium to heavy Lrto Ll 4s^ unfinished 16s to 19s, best heavy ewes Ll 2s to Ll 3s 9d, others 17s to Ll is, poor and aged 10s to 13s (1,369 sold).
