There was an improvad demand, and on the whole prices were £1 per head better than last report. Choice ox sold to Ll, 12s, prime Ll 8s to LI 108: cows and heifers, Ll to LI 6s ; steers ranged in price from LS to L2L 2a 6d (the latter figure was obtained for a steer fattened by Mr Gr. Sykes, Whakatane, and purchased by Mr ; Geo. Knight); caws and heifers, L 4to L 9 17s 6d. Forty extra welUfinished bullocks, from Messrs. P. Comiaky and Geo. Sykes, of Whakatane, averaged Ll4 9s 6d, and 17 choice quality steers of Mr W. Vosper' Cambridge, averaged Ll3 9s.
