BENEFIT CONCERT.
The Benefit Concert held in the Foresters' Hall on Thursday last was a huge success, the Hall being crowd* ed to the doors, many being unable to get a seat. Great credit is due to the able management of Mr J. h. Vase and the committee, Mesdames C Sandin and Chandler, Miss H. Donovan, and Messrs C Sandin and R. Hunter Thanks is due to Mr B. ih. %v v "Williams who was so good as to give ?W use of his picture plant free of J' charge for the first halt of toe proV; gramme, and to Mrs Chandler, Misses ' .% Donovan and J. Little, Messrs Ait ken, Lowe, and C. White who filled the second part with songs and musical items, which were all well given and appreciated by the large audience, several being encored. The concert realised the handsome sum of £20, and this amount, which the committee consider highly satis* Srtorv* will go a long way to provide ' theTelesTary^omforts for the stranded family in whose aid it was promoted. The public are to be thanked for the banner in which they came forward to assist ttose in need. > The Balance Sheet m connection with the Benefit Concert will appear in next issue,
