Theve was a steady demand throughout and values were firm. Choice ox sold to Ll 12, prime Ll 8s 6d to Ll 10s ; cow and heifers, Ll 3s to Ll Bs'. Steers ranged in price fromLT 10s to LI6 2s 6d ; cow and heifers, L 4 lOstoLlO j2s 9d. The champion heavy-weight bullock of Mr T. E. Hayr, Three Kings, realised L 27 os, and was purchased by Messrs E. and W. Hellaby, Ltd. This price is a record for the Dominion. Two trucks of really choice steers from Mr J. JS. Browne, Burnside, Hinuera, averaged Lls 8s 6d. Fat and young calves, penned in increased numbers, sold at late quotations.
