A meeting of the General Committee of the above was held in the Secretarys office on Saturday last, when there was a good attendance.

Mmutes of previous meeting read and confirmed.

The sub-committee reported that they had let the contract for stop bank Messrs to James Saxon and Co, for 22s 6J per chain. — Confirmed,

The Show Shedule for coming \ear was gone into and it was decided to alter sheep classes to those recommend ed by a largely signed petition ; which were as follows :—Lin coins : —1 ram any age, 1 ram 2-tooth, 1 ram lamb, 3 breeding ewes, 3 2-tooth ewes, 3 ewe lambs. Leicesters: — 1 ram any age, I ram 2-tooth, 1 ram lamb, 3 breeding ewes. 3 2-tooth, 3 ewe lambs. Rornmey Marsh: — 1 ram any age, 1 ram 2-tooth, 1 ram lamb, 3 breeding ewes, 3 2-tooth ewes, 3 ewe lambs. Downs:—l ram any any age, L ram 2-tooth, 1 ram lamb, 3 breediDg ewes, 3 2-tooth ewes, 3 ewes, 3 ewe lambs. Also in. fat class es 3 wethers, most money value.

It was rpsolved to have Champion ribbons printed for tho coming- show.

The Shoo! chiidrens' classes were left to Mr A. J. Hill and the Secretary to bring more aip--ro-datf\

The secretary read the following letter from the President : Dear Sir, It is with much regret that I am compelled to tender my resignation as president 01 the Association. Circumstances which were iinfoie^een at the time I accepted the presidency require my leaving Helensville. and as I am convinced it is necessary for the president to reside in the District ancf be in immediate touch, with the detail work of the Association 1 am sure you will agree with me I am doing the correct thing. It is with many regrets that I am parting with the Associa-. tion and its Members, as with many other things in Helsnsvillc, but there are others more worthy and capable to fill my place and I trust one will come forward to do so. Although I shall not be living here I shall ulwoys take a keen interest in the place and especially the Show, which I hope some day to see the biggest event north of Auckland. Wishing the Association its Members and yourself every prosperity. A rery sincerely jours, H. (J. Hammond. Mr W. Hinmier. moved and Mr Nicholls seconded. — " That the President's resignation be accepted with regret. Carried. Mr Nichoils in speaking to the motion voiced the feeling of the meeting, Uo was sure the Association was lusing a good President, in Mr Hammond, wiio was a liveman and took a keen interest in the Association work, and his place would be hard to fill. Mr Hammond thanked Mr Nicholls for his remarks and stated he Avas very sorry to have to relinquish tho position. It was decided to call a general meeting of members to elect a new President.
