The third round for the Championship Cup "was commenced some time ago, but has not been completed, the Union have declared all fixtures off. The results of the three rounds, so far completed,- however, leave no doubt as to the winner of the Cup. Albertland heads the list, having secured 10 points, also 2 by default, with two games not played. The following is the result of the Championship: — play'd won dra'n lost tl. The annual meeting of subscribers to the Port Albert Telephone Co., was held at Miss Becroft's residence on Monday, July 22nd. The statement of Receipts and Expenditure showed that the total cost of the main line from office to office, of telephones, insulators, wire for branch lines, -amounted to £147/2. This is within the first estimate of cost, working out at £9/4 per subscriber, the original estimate being £10. The company has purchased a switch, to be installed in the Port Albert Office. Subscribers hope to be able to communicate with Auckland within the near future. 1913 SHOW. : "" The next Port Albert Show has been fixed for Wednesday^February 19th.
