School Competition.

A coinpetion is being arranged araongst the local schools (Helensville, Kaukapakapa, Woodhill, Te Pua| Pavklmrst) in Writing, Drawing, Composition. The movement has been well patronised by both teachers and Committee, and sufficient funds are forthcoming to allow of substantial prizes being given in each subject, for each standard (irrespective of school). The School gaining the best percentage of marks will be awarded a banner to be held for a year. The Competition closes on Friday August 9th. Mr C. W. Garrard (Inspector of Schools) has kindly consented to act as judge. The results will be announced in due course.
