Sunday School Tea.

The annual tea to the scholars of St. Matthew's Sunday School was given on Friday last, 28th uito, in the Foresters' Hall. Tea was followed by games for about an hour, after which some excellent lantern views were shown to the accompaniment o* amusing and instructive anecdotes by the Rev. E. E. S. Forrester, Vicar. The total number present, including some of the parents of the children, was 108. The very satisfactory increase in the number of children attending* tho Sunday school is due to the energy of Mr F. L. Cubitt, the indefatigable superintendent. The Church building is even now unpleasantly full on Sunday afternoons, and if the increase in the number ot scholars continues, which it gives every indication of doing, other arrange* ments will require to be made for accommodation, Expansion in this di-» rcction is very satisfactory.
