Alfred Buck!and & Sons-, Sales. Messrs Alfred Bucklaud and Sou report:— At our weekly Westfield fat stock market, on Wednesday. June 26, we 3 7arded 265 head of beef. There was a firm demand, and. prices for piirne beef were similar to last report. Plain cattle were a little easier. Choice ox to ±,1 7s, prime £1 4s to £1 6s ; cow and heifer, 18s to £1 4s ; steers ranged in price from £7 to £13 5s ; cows and heifers, £4 to £10 7 s Gd.' Fat and young calves continue to sell at values which ate much in favour of the ven~ doi. Runners, £3 10s to £4 10s ; heavy calves. £3 to £3 13s ; choice suckers, £2 to £2 3s small £1 5s to £1 los; fresh dropped, 3s to 16s (65 sold). The sheep pens were modI erately filled, and the greater portion j were prime heavy wethers- Values for these and good ewes wore firmer. Extra heavy wethers, £ I 3« to £ 1 6s (90 wethers from Mr John Maseey, of West Tamaki, averaged £1 4s 9d) ; heavy, £1 to £1 2s ; medium to heavy, IBstol9s6d; light and unfinished, 14s 6d to 163 9d. Best heavy ewes. IBs 6d to 18s 6d ; good, 14s to 16s, •thers, 11s 6d to 13s 6d (1459 sold). Hoggets were better worth. Best, ils to 19s fid. good, 12s Gd to ]3s 9d; others, 6s Gd to Jos' 6d (?8? sold). The 58 pigs penned were insufficicient for requirement, and prices firmed; No baconers offered. Large porkers, £2 2s to £2 lls, lighter £l"-10s to £1 18s ; slips, 14s to 18s ; weanevs, 11s 9d.
