HOTEL BURNT TO THE GROUND. .■jjfcjv - ' :JP^' (OWN CORRESPONDENT.) f Tho Kaukapakapa Hotel, owned by Mr E. M. Leynon, was burned to the ground at about 2 a.m. this (Tuesday) morning. Very little was saved, Mr Leydon managed to secure j£so in cash from the burning building. The Btore*oroom and out-buildings were saved. The building was insured. The Hotel was a very old building although kept in good repair and was a few months ago purchased by Mr, Leydon from Mr H. B. Melton, The amount of insurance is not yet known but Mr Leydon will be a heavy loser.
