HELENSVILLE RACING CLUB.
A meeting o£ the above Club was held in the Public Library last % Thursday evening, when there was a good aften dance. Mr McEwin occupied the chair. Mr. Ellettj stated that the special train on race day was a failure, and tbe Railway Department charged the Club £14 2s lOd for it; he moved "That the Secretary write to the Manager of Railways, Auckland, drawing their attention to not adver* tising the special train on Race Day, and ask them for a refund," seconded by Mr Cucksey, and carried. It was resolved that the Treasurer pay the balance of guarantors money into local to Racing Club account,
The Secretary was instructed to pay out all prize money and othe account*. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Coulter, seconded by Mr M, Addlington, " That the Secretary. writeJßj to Mr Hartiand, Sec. A.R.C., an<^ ask for particulars for making application for totali sator permit for next year.
