SWIMMING CARNIVAL.
The Swimming Carnival to be held in the Hot Springs baths on Friday evening, should, given a fine night, be well attended. This is the third Carnival the Club has held, and on the previous occasions they have had the misfortune to meet with bad weather, we hope Friday next will prove fine and enable a large crowd to attend and' show their appreciation, of a good pro* g.iame such as has been arranged. Those who have these carnivals in hand deserve the patronage of the district, as not only does it encourage our bojsto make themselves proficient in the art of swimming, but aiso assists the Thermal Springs of HelensviikY to become better known, besides helping the Board somewhat with funds for development work. The motor lorry will convey passengers to and fioaithe baths for Is 6d return including en~ trance to Carnival. A dance will be held in the Parakai Hall after the Caraival
