Competition wal steady, at about last week's improved prices. Choice ox, to £1 7s, prime £1 43 to £1 (is ; cow and heifers. 17s to £ 1 4s ; steers ranged in price from £7 2s «)d to £13 12s 6d ; cows and heifers, £{ to £10 ss, The latter price was obtained for a cow of Mr, A. S. Thompson's, of Pakuranga. A draft of. 18 choice bullocks from Messrs E. and W. G oil an, of. Panmure,. avei aged £1 1 14s 6b. Pat and young calv- 8 came, forward in increased numbers, and were principally heavy vealers, prices for which were lower. Runners £3 10s to medium £1 5s to £1 18s, small and light 3s to £1 2s. (93 sold.) Thero was a heavy entry of mutton, with a slightly better demand, and although our quotations are losver values were lirmer.
